Ready. Set. Go!

This is my first year to do an internship, and I am eagerly anticipating it to start! Doing an internship is different than learning in class; one learns through hand-building and investigations instead of reading texts. Moreover, by doing this internship, I get a chance to work outside the school with new groups of people who have a deeper knowledge in the subjects that would help me strengthen my concepts. Although I am still waiting for my project being assigned, I am so excited to go to my first visit. I am looking forward to looking deeper into the structures of organisms and cells and learning new laboratory techniques and experimental procedures. Most of all, I would like to apply what I have learned in class on the projects I will be doing, explore the topics I am passionate about, and exchange ideas with my mentor. Now that I am all  prepared, I am ready to be fascinated by this world!
